Inspiring colour forecasts with Dulux for 2023
Creating a unique space in 2023 with the Dulux Colour Forecast
Believe it or not, the end of the year is quickly approaching, and the Dulux Colour Forecast is back for 2023. This year’s forecast is made up of three thoughtfully composed palettes, designed to navigate our post-pandemic world, as we balance, connect, and revive our spaces. Whether we are yearning for a calming escape, a grounding footprint, or an authentically vibrant space, the 2023 predictions are setting us on track to make our environments our own.
Taking inspiration from the ever-constant, calming sea, we are nurtured after a turbulent time to find solace and peace in our everyday life as found in the soothing waves of the ocean. Creating depth and balance within a space begins with impactful blues and greens. These are then layered with lighter pastels to replicate the presence of sea shells and sand.
The Balance palette brings us back to the water’s edge, finding brilliance in both the steady and mighty, alongside its delicate features.
Colours include Dulux’s Deep Garnet, Sea Kelp, Mornington, and Terrace White.
For those aiming to create a space that truly brings the outdoors indoors, the Connect palette focuses on experiencing earthy, nature at home. In a time where connection has been tried and tested, many have found a return to nature and an ability to incorporate more of their surrounding naturescape into daily life.
This palette looks at incorporating olive, beige, cinnamon and wood tones, layered with crisp greys. Striving for an earthy retreat, natural textures with a unique weather-worn patina further complement this palette.
Colours include Dulux’s Cinnamon Sand, Wasabi, Sandy Day and Basset Brown.
Those seeking out the ability to live out their most vibrant, expressive selves within their space, can feel gratified within the Revive colour palette - allowing for joyful, playful tones and patterns to shape our world.
Nostalgic decor, colours, and styles from decades past reignite colour blocking, wavy furniture pieces, and geometric patterns and artwork. Revive is a full awakening of retro influences and gives a new life to vintage opportunities that allow effervescent personalities to thrive and find joy in the everyday.
Colours include Dulux’s Purple Celebration, Pharaoh’s Gem, Golden Sand, and Princess Pink.
